Ferrum Audio was born in Warsaw, Poland in 2020.
We have been manufacturing audio and electronic products under the name HEM for many years, and we have combined the know-how of advanced software development that we have cultivated until now with the uniqueness of Warsaw, our roots. I thought I wanted to send a good product to the world.
As we explored our roots, we noticed that there was a history of excellence in this area where we were born and spent most of our lives.
A large amount of "iron" has been buried in the Warsaw area since ancient times, and it developed into an industrial city, such as the steel industry and the automobile industry.
The father of Marcin Hamerla, CEO of HEM, is a blacksmith, and Marcin himself is nicknamed “the hammer,” so you can see how strong the relationship with “hardware” is.
On the other hand, Frederic Chopin, a world-famous composer and famous pianist, was born in a place called “Zhelazovaya Wolya”.
Żelazo means iron in Polish, and the connection between us and the “iron” has turned into confidence.
The fusion of craftsmanship and audio has been firmly demonstrated in our roots in the Warsaw region of Poland.
Just as Chopin brought music to the world, we want to bring audio to the world.
I put this idea into the word Ferrum, which means iron in Latin.
Marcin Hamerla
Founder and CEO of HEM
Born in 1970. I was born in the ancient industrial city of Czestochowa, Poland, into a family of blacksmiths and metalworkers.
He moved to Warsaw in 1989 and studied electronics at the Department of Hardware Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology before pursuing a career in commercial design. After this he worked for WZE Zielonka, a Polish military manufacturer. At the same time, HEM Electronics was created.
In 2019, HEM Electronics was reborn as HEM and currently has 25 full-time employees.

He is a nature lover, a passionate cyclist and has a keen interest in Polish and international history.

HEM was founded by Marcin Hamerla in Warsaw, Poland, and has now become one of the leading audio equipment manufacturers in Poland.
Overrated for his high level of design in medical and military electronics, he developed his business primarily on projects for the Polish government. Since its inception, I have strived to work on the cutting edge of audio technology, but when I met Mytek Digital in 1998, I was leading the industry as a business partner of Mytek Digital. I have moved the main axis to digital audio technology.
In particular, we have done a lot of experimentation and production on high resolution audio and MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) and the best digital/analog company in the world through the Mytek Digital brand. I have been involved in mbarter production for many years.
Since we have a research and development department and a software programming department, one of our special areas includes original electronic equipment manufacturing (OEM) and electronic design manufacturing (ODM).
